At Roberts we are extremely grateful to be able to teach a diverse and wonderful population of students. We strongly believe that education is the great equalizer. It is our mission to provide our students with the skills they need to be successful middle school students.
In our classrooms we follow a growth model. All of our students have different talents and weaknesses and are entering 5th grade at different academic levels. However, every student will have many successes this year. Expect to see your 5th graders progress. We will be sending home students' progress on the many different assessments tools that we use. Our 5th graders will be using this data to set individual goals throughout the school year. |
Classroom Behavior & ExpectationsThis year we will be using Class Dojo to track students’ behaviors
and to earn incentives. Students will be able to earn points for meeting classroom expectations, and for exceeding expectations. However, when students are unable to follow classroom expectations they will lose points. Each day students should get at least 10 points, but could earn many more points. If your child has less than 10 points they did not reach classroom expectations. If you are concerned about your child’s behavior you can login to Class Dojo or ask one of the teachers for a print out of their behavior data. |
